Summer Concert Style

Summer is a great time to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.
Summer is also a great time for going to listen to your favorite bands.
Wether your music style is country, hip hop, rock, pop, jazz... your style is key!
I am attending a few concerts this summer and wanted to show my outfit ideas for any concert.

Country Concert Style
Most country concerts I have attended took place outside, meaning it was HOT!
I would go for a cute summer dress and cowboy boots or jean shorts and a cute top!

Music Festival Style
Music Festivals like, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella have the "hipster" vibe.
You can google any of the music festivals fashion and they are all very similar.
High waisted shorts and crop tops.  long shirts and loose graphic tees.  Sunglasses and bikinis.

Pop Concert Style
Pop concert style can be basically anything, I go for casual but cute!
Flowy tops, jean shorts, skirts, cute flats or sandals.

Whatever you wear to the concert, make sure you are comfortable and can jump around and dance in your outfit!  Maybe you will catch your favorite band members eye!

Here are some pictures of a few concerts I have attended in the past...

American Flag Fashion

American Flag Fashion
Stars and Stripes

American Flag shorts

American Flag shirt

American Flag socks

American Flag bandana

There are so many different kinds of American Flag styles.

How to make American Flag shorts...
You will need:
Jean's or Jean shorts
American Flag bandana
Paint (red, white, blue) (optional)
Bleach (optional)
Tape (optional)
Scissors
Studs (optional)
Needle & thread (optional)
Safety pins (optional)

  • If you are going to use a bandana as the American Flag design I would recommend either sewing the flag down or safety pinning/studding it to the shorts.

  • You can also paint on the American Flag design.  I recommend using star stickers to put down on the shorts before painting the blue.  Also use tape to measure the stripes.

There are many ways to achieve the American Flag shorts.  Youtube has a ton of different videos showing how to make them.

Bandana Shorts...
You can find different diagrams on how to create the shorts this way.

I made some for my friend and they turned out like this...

Take Jeans and cut legs to make into shorts
Distress shorts by spraying bleach in random spots
Use scissors and razor blade to rip and fray shorts
Wash and dry shorts ALONE (don't forget you bleached them)
Cut bandana into the size depending on where you will be placing the fabric
Sew, Safety pin or stud fabric to jeans. ( I sewed them)

Contouring and Highlighting!

How to Contour and Highlight

My favorite products...

Nars Laguna bronzer
Mac MSF Soft and Gentle
Crown C405 contour blush
Mac 165 tapered highlighting brush

Contouring and highlighting creates a more defined and bright face.

The picture below shows where to put bronzer and highlight.

To find the hollows of your cheeks, make a fish face and see where your face creates a hollow.  Place the bronzer closest to your hairline in the hollow and blend forward following the line.  I don't drag my bronzer as far down as the picture shows.  I also put bronzer on my temples and blend down into my contour.  Think it as a 3 E motion on both sides of your face.  You can contour the sides of your nose to make it look slim.  Don't forget to blend the bronzer down your neck.
Highlighting makes your face look luminous and bright.  Place the highlight on your cheekbones and brow bones.  You can put it down the center of your face to make your face glow and catch light.  Sometimes using too much highlight can cause your face to look shiny so make sure you don't over do it.
